A few months ago, the community of DOTA 2 discovered a fun independent mod that gained enormous popularity quickly: it is Dota Auto Chess, from Drodo Studio. It seems that the success of this has proved very popular within Valve itself, and as a result, Half-Life parents will work on their own official version of Dota Auto Chess.
After visiting Drodo to discuss the development of an official game, the conclusion was that “Valve and Drodo can not work directly with each other for a variety of reasons”, as can be read in the DOTA blog. ” We ended up agreeing that each of them would create their own independent version of the game, supporting each other completely. ” Drove also issues a message of support, where they claim to trust Valve’s success in their new project. For their part, they will continue to update their mod with new modes and adaptations.
The news will not take PC users by surprise, because it is a fairly common maneuver. DOTA 2 itself was born as to DOTA mod, and other games beyond Valve as PUBG or DayZ were also conceived in different titles.
