The proposed space exploration of Elite: Dangerous managed to seduce at the beginning of the year more than 13,000 players, who decided to start a massive expedition to the limits of the galaxy. A trip that has proven to lethal for most of these virtual explorers, of which only a third have managed to survive.
As one of these galactic pioneers details, 13,615 players joined this trip during which they would spend more than 18 years in hyperspace, at the time of the game. Of these, only 3,747 pilots arrived at the destination established at Beagle Point. The reasons are many and very different, from accidents to simple abandonment. But there are even those who remained stranded without fuel in full space, as happened to this player who had to be rescued by other users.
This 152-day star crossing, and 1,118 million light years, was Summed up in a beautiful gallery of images by the group of Elite players called Aurum_32.
