What if the weapon of a video game worked in the real world? It is the question launched by Digital Extremes to promote the new contents of its game Warframe in an original advertising campaign.
As can be seen in the video published by the developer, a series of passers-by was invited to pose with the replica of one of the game’s weapons for a photo shoot. But in reality, it’s a joke in which they simulated the devastating effects of the Opticor, one of the laser cannons that appear in Warframe. Unexpectedly, and to the surprise of the participants, different elements of the scenography jump through the air. Even a police patrol car pretends to split in two due to the alleged effects of the weapons.
This is not the only promotional campaign launched by Extremes digital these days. Yesterday we reported the start of a contest that will take an amateur space, and the only thing that those interested in leaving Earth should do is play Warframe. Also yesterday, Warframe presented a trailer for The Duviri Paradox, its new and enigmatic open space.
