In 2012, Ryse: Son of Rome was one of the titles chosen to accompany Xbox One during its launch. But this game with historical setting developed by Crytek was originally planned to appear in 360. A recently released video shows what the Ryse prototype was like during that stage, when it was still known as Codename Kingdoms.
The video posted on YouTube by Prototype Preservation retrieves prototype found in an Xbox 360 development kit by a Twitter user named Cheese007. Although the game shows a very primitive aspect, it serves to give us an idea of what the original premise would have been like to offer a gaming experience in the first person, and not in the third as it happened with the finally commercialized version for One.
In this sense, the game suffered a bumpy development in which it went from being an Xbox 360 game to being to Kinect game until it finally ended reinforcing One’s landing among the fans. Do you want to remember how the game was? Here is our analysis of Ryse: Son of Rome.
