In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, screenwriter and producer Lauren S. Hissrich has commented on new details about The Witcher’s long-awaited series for Netflix. One of these curiosities is that we will not see a villain in the series, but it will maintain the gray morality that characterizes Sapkowski’s books.
” It’s not a secret There is not really a villain ” says Hissrich. ” One of the things we like to explore is the grayscale of the books. The characters you empathize with at the beginning may not be the ones you like in the end. And the characters you hate and you think are absolutely evil are motivated by understandable, human and emotional things. While I wrote it and later saw it, I found that your alliances change a lot. You try to put yourself in the shoes of the characters and think what you would do [in that situation]. I think you’ll end up having a lot of empathy for characters you do not expect. & Quot;
As was already clear in the past, the series will be based entirely on original books instead of video games, so surely we find several differences with respect to the seen in the delivered deliveries of CD Projekt. While its premiere arrives, we recommend you watch the first The Witcher trailer for Netflix.
