The 80s, the dangerous streets of Suburbia, side scrolling, little ships, ninjas, lots of bad-tempered pixels, a hero called Kid and some psychedelia. That’s all you need to enjoy again the golden age of the arcades, and it’s in 198X
This Hi-Bit Studios game is a colorful tribute to the machines of the 80s, that mixes some of the best-known formats of the time, and has been possible thanks to the participation of fans in a crowdfunding campaign. The fans of the eighties classics can identify with the story of the protagonist, and certainly recognize winks to Final Fight, R-Type or the first Ninja Gaiden, and even the mythical OutRun, with a proposal that does not stop changing jumping from a mechanical to another.
The game has arrived this week at Steam, and is a great excuse to remember good old times. If you prefer a discovery with a more current format, be sure to try Axiom Soccer, a free Rocket League with spaceships.
