A few weeks ago, we commented that the movie Sonic the Hedgehog would do a redesign of its protagonist to please the fans, as they had criticized harshly the appearance of the blue hedgehog in the trailer. Determined to meet this goal, director Jeff Fowley today announced on Twitter to delay in its release.
Instead of premiering on November 8 this year as previously planned, we will have to wait until the 14th. February 2020 to see it.
Fowley fans have responded well, thanking the animators for more time instead of forcing them to meet the original date. On the other hand, the image that accompanies the tweet suggests that the new design of Sonic will have gloves in video games, which is nothing short of a declaration of intentions.
It will be necessary to wait a little longer to see how the Sega hedgehog looks in his new movie. Meanwhile, you can delight in the performance of Jim Carrey as Eggman (Dr. Robotnik), which will surely remain intact.
