According to the figures provided by the market research firm Sensor Tower, the revenues and downloads of video games on mobile phones grew again during the first half of this year. Specifically, this type of product generated in iOS and Android a total of 29,600 million dollars as well as 20,100 million downloads, an improvement in data of 11.3% and 3.2% respectively over the previous year.
Honor of Kings, Fate / Grand Order and Monster Strike were the three most successful video games during these months, raising, in that order, 727 million dollars, 628 million dollars 566 million Dollars . The everlasting Candy Crush Saga and the battle-royale PUBG are also present in the top-5. As for downloads, the releases at the top of the table were Color Bump 3D, Garena Free Fire and the aforementioned PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile.
By platform, Sensor Tower ranks first in revenue to the iOS App Store, while on downloads it’s Google Play who dominates with force. Video games, however, are located as a primary sector in both bazaars, contributing 29,600 million of the total of 39,700 million dollars generated.
