After announcing Mojang that the episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode for Xbox 360 will be eliminated from the Microsoft digital store, the developer has had to resort to a strange strategy to discourage fans from buying: raise its price to 99 dollars.
This decision has an explanation, and it is that to offer the possibility of re-downloading these contents to those who bought them at the time, the episodes should be available in Game Store. Therefore, it has been decided to raise its price in a dissuasive manner for new buyers.
It is not a permanent average, but we must warn that if someone acquires any of the episodes at that high price, that will be the amount that will be charged. The episodes will be permanently deleted from June 25, so those who want to recover them will have to download them to their consoles. In this way, TellTale Games games continue to disappear from digital stores after the studio closes.
This process of erasing MCSM from existence just gets… sillier? Maybe that’s not the right word but it surreal to see our games listed for $100 per episode as a FIX. pic.twitter.com/Sh79REuRBe
