Borderlands 3 is getting closer. The GearBox action game continues to the dimensions of the size of its multiplayer action proposal and, this time, a spectacular data about the arsenal you have emerged.
It has been Joshua Davidson, one of the sound designers of the North American studio, who has spoken through Twitter to make clear the enormous ambition of the video game in this sense. “Right now in Borderlands 3 we have something like over 7,500 individual audio files for the sounds of weapons,” he said. & quot; To give you some perspective, Borderlands 3 was launched with some 300 .wav audio files to cover all weapons and their manufacturers & quot ;.
The number of Borderlands 3 sounds, in this way, far exceeds what was included at the time in Borderlands 2 in terms of audio files. The data is impressive, but the thing is not going to stay there. “And no, we have not finished yet,” Davidson said, promising an even greater number for the arsenal of sounds: “Pañum! Pañum! & Quot ;.
We already have a release date for Borderlands 3 and, what’s better, on May 1st we will have the first session of the gameplay of the expected “loot shooter” & of GearBox.
So yeah….#Borderlands3 is currently sitting at just over 7,500 individual .wav files for the weapon firing sounds.
For perspective, BL2 shipped a little over 300 .wav files to cover all the guns and their manufacturers.
And yes, we're still not done. Pew pew! #GameAudio
