The battle-royale game genre continues to leave interesting proposals despite having its contenders already settling in the market. That is why whoever tries to win a hole must do it by betting on themes and styles different from what has been launched. This is the case of Spellbreak, a competitive game of cel-shaded aesthetics and magical atmosphere that will release its closed beta on PS4 this spring.
As explained by its leaders, Proletariat, in the PlayStation blog, Spellbreak is a fantastic battle royale in which we embody a battle mage, we invoke incredible spells, combine elements and literally fly around the world through teleportation, shadow jumps and endless of movement techniques. The proposal is inspired by great references of action and shooting, but also recognizes having incorporated elements roguelike and RPG games as well as betting on “a spectacular visual style to achieve something completely unique.”
PC users can enjoy Spellbreak, still under development as the console version, for a few months now in the Epic Games Store.
