The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X processor may still be slow to arrive, but apparently the engineering samples are already in circulation. A Twitter user have posted to ” stolen ” of a screen that shows the results of the 16-core processor in CineBench R15. The CPU-Z tool, on the other hand, recognizes that it is a chip ” Matisse ” and it assigns the counting of nuclei and threads correct, but it does not get to guess with the name. Where it also hits the nail is on the MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE board.
The supposed Ryzen 9 3950X, in this case overclocked at 5.42 GHz, takes a score of 5501 in the multi-threaded test. Let’s put it in perspective by mentioning to Ryzen Threadripper 2950X with serial frequencies that, with the same number of cores and double the memory bus, reaches 3645 points. The Zen 2 not only benefits from a 1 GHz overclock higher than the serial frequency of the 2950X, but also by a greater number of IPCs, in addition to a more consolidated memory interface. With this, what is clear to us? That the new Ryzen like to be seen and that they also offer much better performance than the previous generation, as we have seen with the latest result of the Ryzen 5 3600 on the PassMark test bench.
