After several weeks of clues, the Pokémon GO community reports that Team Rocket has finally invaded the successful Niantic free-to-play. The classic villains of the saga are also closely linked to a new mechanic, the already revealed Dark Pokémon and their respective purified versions.
How does this system work? During your walks, you may find an unusually sinister Poképarada with a nearby Rocket soldier. When interacting with her, we enter to participate in a fight against this subject and its three Pokémon.
If we win, it will leave behind a repudiated dark Pokémon that we can capture and add to our ranks following the usual minigame. Once in our collection, we can keep it in its current state (with red eyes and angry expression) or purify it in exchange for a small amount of materials to improve its statistics and restore its standard appearance.
According to Pokémon GO data miners, the initial list of Dark Pokémon is somewhat limited, but more creatures will be added to the list over time.
