Capcom has finally confirmed the release date of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 on Nintendo Switch: October 29. To the surprise of the few, it almost coincides with the Halloween party. Both can be purchased for 29.99 euros through the eShop, although American fans can also access the so-called Triple Pack, a package in physical format that includes RE 4 (on card) plus RE 5 and 6 (in download code).
Resident Evil 5 was originally published in 2009 on PC, PS4 and X360 and relaunched in 2016 in consoles of the current generation. Switch will enjoy the contents of the Gold Edition. RE5 is a co-operative multiplayer remake featuring two agents, veteran Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, debutant.
For its part, Resident Evil 6 was originally launched in 2012, but it was adapted to the modern platforms three years ago. Of course, it will hit Switch with all the DLCs published previously, such as Mercenary or Agent Hunting mode. The campaign of this installment is divided into three agents, Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jake Muller, who offer different perspectives of a bioterrorist attack.
As a reminder, Resident Evil 7 also came to Nintendo Switch, although only in Japan and from the cloud. It seems unlikely that I will be arriving soon to the hybrid console.
