It is necessary to have a low profile graphic card to mount a compact device, but it always helps. MSI knows that there are not many Turing graphics that comply with this feature, it has launched two models of the GTX 1650, the most modest card of the family, low profile: one with basic frequencies and another overclocked. The first model reaches boost frequencies of 1665 MHz, while the second reaches 1695. With a difference of only 30 MHz, it is possible that the less powerful variant is more than enough – as long as we have good ventilation in the box – if we apply a minimum overclock.
The new graphics cards measure 168x69x37 mm, and that puts them exactly in the size segment that we mentioned. Zotac also has a GTX 1650 of a very similar size with similar frequencies, but it is still a very small group of products. The GTX 1650 are the Turing graphics of the lower range and lack RT and Tensor cores just like the GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti. The important date on price and launch dates are unknown, but we will be attentive to MSI.
