SNK confirms that it is already developing a new title of the legendary saga.
Without much detail, SNK has confirmed at a recent shareholders meeting in Seoul that the Metal Slug franchise will have a new videogame that is already being developed by the Osaka firm. His boss, Ge Zhihui, guaranteed that the new instalment of the series has nothing to do with the game for mobile that is doing Tencent, so the action and the shots will return to the fold of the legendary saga.
As the American portal Gematsu has shared, the firm would have confirmed two new versions of Neo Geo Mini after the success of the first version of the system on a global level and that the discreet SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy would have managed to sell some 300,000 units on PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It is likely that we know of Metal Slug when the launch of Samurai Shodown, the new signature game, approaches.
Since its refounding, SNK promised to take advantage of its most legendary franchises to revive them and bring them to current players. At the moment, with series like The King of Fighters or Samurai Shodown, it seems that they are giving in the key. Will they do the same with Metal Slug?
