At the time of buying a monitor to play all pecero faces the eternal doubt: “Do I keep the image quality of an IPS panel or the response of a TN?”. Luckily, LG you have decided to go to the chase and present the first IPS monitors with 1 ms of response, that is, the best of both worlds. They belong to the UltraGear series, and they have refresh rates of 144 Hz and come in two versions: the first one, called 38GL950G, of 38 inches, resolution of 3840×1600 and with G-Sync chip; and the second one, called 27GL850, of 27 inches, resolution 2560×1440 and compatible with G-Sync.
The two monitors support a color depth of 10 bits and cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and 135% of the sRGB. The 27-inch UltraGear is compatible with HDR10, although it does not meet the requirements of DisplayHDR, while the 38-inch does comply with DisplayHDR 400. The latter, by the way, can overclock until 175 Hz. Apparently they will arrive to Europe During the third quarter of the year, but its prices are still unknown. Here you can find all the details.
