How would you feel if you discover, for example, that you are a simple non-player character in Grand Theft Auto V? This is more or less the story premiere of Free Guy, the new and original adventure starring Ryan Reynolds with a view to premiering next year.
Specifically, Free Guy tells the story of a solitary cashier of bank that discovers that in fact it is a secondary personage in the open world of video game Free City. This plot will be directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum trilogy) and will have among its cast of characters such as Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Lil Rel Howery (Let Me Leave), Taika Waititi (What we do in the shadows), Joe Keery (Stranger Things) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Mulán).
Free Guy has already started recording in Boston, United States, and is produced by 20th Century Fox under distribution of The Walt Disney Studios. If everything goes well the film will reach theaters around the world on July 3, 2020.
With its development, Ryan Reynolds is still linked to the world of video games and last week premiered, with record at the box office, Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
