It was one of the surprises that the Square Enix conference left at E3 2019. The mythical Final Fantasy VIII will finally have a remastering that will have better graphics and, now we also know, a sound section directly from the original PlayStation and not PC, as usual until now. The data is important if we take into account that the audio quality was better in the console than in its compatible version.
The Dotemu team in charge of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered has confirmed that the music will be the original 32 bits of Sony, which is great news. At the time Square Enix adapted this classic JRPG to Steam using a lower quality MIDI audio that has lasted throughout these years.
The relaunch of the Square Enix classic will take place in a date yet to be finalized throughout this year 2019 on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
It'll be original PSX music 😉
