Jason West, one of the founders of Infinity Ward and Respawn, joins their ranks. Epic Games not only feeds on the exclusive signings it makes in its Epic Games Store. The company behind Fornite and the Unreal Engine has taken over the services of Jason West, co-founder of companies such as Infinity Ward or Respawn, creators of, among others, the Call of Duty or Titanfall franchise. The announcement has been made by journalist Geoff Keighley, but it is likely that Epic or West himself will specify details in the next few hours.

What is known is that West, who has been working for a month at the offices of Epic in North Carolina, will focus on supporting the development of future videogames for the firm. Unfortunately, no details have been specified about the projects West would have joined in the last weeks. The exit of the founder of Respawn of his last company was done “in a friendly way”, although many sources attributed to a clash with his partner, Vince Zampella, his departure from the studio.
Some game industry scoop: @EpicGames has quietly hired Jason West, @InfinityWard and @Respawn co-founder, to work on its game development efforts. From what I hear West, who lives in North Carolina, has been in the office for about a month. pic.twitter.com/nhR0zPq0mB
