Ubisoft took off his chest during his E3 2019 conference with the presentation of Watch Dogs Legion, a title in the London of the future, which serves as the setting for the plot, is recreated with great attention to detail. The footage shown is striking for its quality, but the first installment of the series, of 2014, also manages to achieve a spectacular graphic finish through mods and the application of ray tracing.
As can be seen in the video published on YouTube by Digital Dreams, the original Watch Dogs can compete visually with the new delivery, thanks to the use of ray tracing to improve global lighting and ReShade for a more cinematic finish, among other mods. Given the large number of reflective surfaces, both architectural elements and puddles formed by rain, these improvements are a significant addition.
The use of ray tracing in veteran games is becoming a trend between those responsible for the creation of this type of content, thanks to whose work we have been able to enjoy the most realistic version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and even a practically unrecognizable Minecraft.
