As we already knew, on June 4 Destiny 2 will be updated with the Season of Opulence, the last of Year 2. Today, Bungie has released the first official details about its contents and new features along with its first trailer. . The first of these contents is, of course, the new incursion (Crown of Sorrow) that will be available just six hours after the start of the season.
While this tough challenge comes, players must complete the introductory mission Imperial Summons, which also updates our equipment with level 690 to be up to the new content if we have fallen behind previously. We are also invited to try The Menagerie, to PvE activity for six paired players where we face numerous challenges of all kinds inside the Emperor Calus ship. Throughout the season, it will be updated with new challenges and bosses, as well as with a heroic mode. It also allows us to improve the Chalice of Opulence to manually choose our rewards.
Of course, we will have a huge dose of new weapons and weapons, as well as exceptional items. One of them is (another) hand cannon called Lumina, which will have its own exceptional mission, but several more are also introduced from the game’s blog. The Iron Standard also comes loaded with new rewards and a mission of its own. We have another important appointment on July 30 with the return of the Solstice of Heroes, with its own missions and rewards.
The Season of Opulence marks the last batch of content that links Bungie with Activision, and although there are certainly a few surprises left during the season, we’ll have to wait until the community finishes the new raid for the first time to learn more about the new era of Bungie and Destiny 2.
