In a matter of a few minutes, we will have new information from Borderlands 3 coming from a mysterious broadcast entitled “Celebration of Togetherness” (Celebration of the Union) and that many fans have interpreted as the announcement of the game However, Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox, has taken to such an outpouring.
When can we play with friends from different platforms, then? According to Pitchford, ” we are committed to support the cross-game in Borderlands 3 with our partners as soon as possible after the release ” Remember that the game will hit stores on September 13 and can be played on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Months ago, Pitchford explained that the temporary exclusivity with Epic Games Store on PC came precisely because of his plan to offer cross-play in Borderlands 3: “we believe that cross-platform support is a prerequisite,” he said at the time , “and Epic’s leadership in cross-platform support is in our interests “”
Some folks may be speculating that this thing tomorrow may be about cross play. Tomorrow’s thing is awesome, but *not* about cross-play. But, Good News: We are committed to supporting cross-play for Borderlands 3 with our partners as soon as practicable after launch. #talklater https://t.co/XtUzrBpySP
