This morning, the Station Pi studio launched the campaign for Kickstarter of G.R.E.E.N. The Life Algorithm, an independent project that aims to become a cross-platform metroidvania game, if it goes well, could debut in September of this year on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo systems without specifying.
GREEN The Life Algorithm will be a game that brings together concepts of action, adventure and platforms on a two-dimensional canvas, whose plot will revolve around the battle for survival that humans will undertake against genetically modified plants.
Among the features of this project, including petrification mechanics that play an indispensable role in the solving of riddles and the leveling of the levels, as well as the implementation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and original soundtrack .
The goal from Pi Station to GREEN is that it collects 15,000 dollars (13,420 euros approximately) in the span of the next 31 days. It is part of a resurgence of the metroidvania category during the last years, with exponents like Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, SteamWorld Dig 2, Guacamelee, Axiom Verge and Ori and the Blind Forest as good examples.
