Although the step of Doctor Who for video games has not been so memorable, one more product of the popular series of the BBC is on the way, this time we talk about a virtual reality game. Doctor Who: The Edge of Time was announced today, a title developed by the Maze Theory studio and published by PlayStack.
Although at the moment the details of the virtual reality experience are scarce, we know that the actress Jodie Whittaker, current protagonist of the series, will also take the starring role in the game. As the center of its plot it is stated that the Doctor will be taken to the end of the universe while a virus threatens to destroy reality. As a player you will equip yourself with the Sonic Screwdriver, you can pilot the TARDIS, as well as venture into new and familiar worlds of the series while solving riddles, defeating classic monsters and collecting crystals to repair space and time.
The Edge of Time would be the first virtual reality experience inspired by Doctor Who if you consider The Runaway, the first animated episode of the VR series released recently. If you wait for this new Doctor Who game you should know that it will arrive next September to PS VR, Oculus VR devices and HTC Vive.
