An article on the Statista website has covered an interesting pattern, that of Spanish players who buy video games. It does so with a report made on a sample of more than 10,000 people and in which they are consulted where they have acquired physical or online titles in the last 12 months. The results? There are some surprising things.
As for physical videogames, the percentage is high for GAME, where 57% of the respondents claim to have spent money in the last year. Amazon follows with 46% and Media Markt with 35%, also highlights the presence of shops such as El Corte Inglés, FNAC or PC Components.
Digital titles? GAME and Amazon are back in front of the lists, although with a much lower percentage. What is already present is the direct stores with PlayStation Store at the head of these, with 35%, Google Play with 25% and Steam with 18%. Epic Games Store and Xbox share with 11% the sixth and seventh place, respectively, while the Nintendo eShop closes the ranking.
We recently had some other very interesting study about the habits of Spanish players; for example, one that talked about their preferred habits and platforms.
