The authors of Metroid Prime say goodbye to Reggie Fils-Aime with a beautiful drawing starring their games.
The president of Nintendo America left his post just a few days ago and there have been few who have wanted to thank Reggie Fils-Aime for his work at the head of the Great N for the past 15 years. Among them is the Retro Studios team, authors of the Metroid Prime trilogy, who wanted to honour their former boss with a beautiful illustration that could include clues about his next and mysterious videogame.
The image in question shows a drawing of Reggie Fils-Aime escorted by the characters that Retro Studios has worked with, that is, the Donkey Kong family, the bounty hunter Samus Aran … and an unknown character! The photograph published by the former president of Nintendo America intelligently hides a statue of Super Mario Bros from an unidentified character, of whom only a robotic hand can be seen. What is it about?
After announcing the restart of Metroid Prime 4, the Retro Studios team is working on this long-awaited action adventure, but before this project, they worked on at least one other video game that has no clues. The robotic hand could be linked to one of the protagonists of this new title.
It remains to wait for future dates to discover what Retro Studios works on. Nintendo could take advantage of the early celebration of E3 2019 to make this and other unknown projects are known. Interested? Little by little, the dates and times of E3 2019 are released.
Last of my retirement events was last night. Received some wonderful gifts and souvenirs. Yes, that is a working Virtual Boy. Art from Retro Studios. Notebook for names taken. A plastic ass to kick. A book of notes from employees. And a Mario statue. End of an era. pic.twitter.com/mrOVL1ANPO
