Microsoft has been striving to unite Windows 10 and Xbox One platforms for a long time, so it’s no surprise that many fans want to share progress and game sessions at the huge Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Cross play and cross progress are ideas that are frequently discussed since the port was announced to PC, and yesterday Brian “ske7ch” Jarrad – representative of 343 before the community – clarified exactly what we expect in this regard.
” The progression, unblocks, statistics and others will be transferred between PC and console ” explains ske7ch. ” When it comes to playing together crossing platforms, it is something that is not planned for the launch, but the team keeps this in mind and we will evaluate it with time ”
Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been available for years on Xbox One, but will progressively reach PC throughout 2019. There was a test of the Halo: Reach scheduled for April, but has been delayed until further notice. This is the latest news on the game on Xbox, and the first contact for PC players.
Progression, unlocks, stats, etc.. will carry over between PC/console. In terms of playing together crossplatform, currently not planned for launch but it's something the team is accounting for and will evaluate over time.
