The Japanese giant of the software edition, Square Enix, has announced the creation of up to 100 new jobs in its studios based in Canada. In the North American country they are Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal.
In this way, the company increases its workforce in Canada to about 700 employees, a figure that, they add, will continue to grow since the Japanese company promise to continue their investments in the coming years.
For Eidos Montreal, Square Enix is committed to expanding its offices in almost 1,000 square meters, renewing the facilities of the development team with cutting-edge technology. Square Enix Montreal, meanwhile, will double in size.
Eidos-Montréal is especially known for the development of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, although its latest release came in late of year with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. For its part, Square Enix Montreal has been more focused on mobile experiences like Lara Croft Go.
